Hanoi School of Public Health’s Youth Technology and Scientific Conference

On 2^nd December 2015, Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH) organized a Youth Technology and Scientific Conference 2015.This is an annual forum for young scientists to encourage and motivate young lectures and student learning and communicating actively and joining in scientific research.

Opening the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Van Minh Hoang, Vice Rector emphasized the roll of strategic direction of scientific research activities in the overalls operations of school: “According to the standard of Ministry of Education and Training , Universities are divided into 3 groups:  Research – Oriented University, Application – Oriented University and Practice-Oriented University.  In particular, Research – Oriented University is ranks as the highest. Party – Managing Board of HSPH has decided to organize school toward Research – Oriented University. We set a target to 2020, the brand will become training institution which has most international publishing and owns methodical scientific research and supporting scientific research in the most efficient training institutions of public health sector in Vietnam and in the region. We hope all the lecturers and students who are sitting here will accompany to achieve this target.

From the orientation put  HSPH become the high standard orientation college in the region, youth scientific conference 18^th is considered as an important playground for youth public health promote intellectual, creative energy, accessible ability and gradually mastering scientific technology in every position.  Besides, this activity has help the young generation in the school has method of thinking and scientific behaviors, as a basic for raising the level and capacity of professional work, contributing to improve the quality of training and researching.

After the overall session with two presentations of Assoc. Prof. Tran Huu Bich shared research: The roll of father in child’s development and Dr. Tran Tuyet Hanh  Experience sharing in researching and international publishing , the conference was divided into 5 sessions with 23 topics.

In general, the reports in the conference were assessed with excellent quality, creative ideas, high application, and right methodology.

On conclusion, Examiners Council has selected two excellent projects for the first prize.

Those are projects of following reporters MA. Nguyen Thu Ha, Lecturer of  Health Economics Subject ( Subject of protecting patients from financial risk in Tuberculosis' diagnosis and treatment: Overview result of system and the assessment in accordance with Vietnam's context) and BA Tran Hoang My Lien (Subject of the reality of using social networks, quality of sleep, and some related factors of HSPH's students in 2014).

Those Subjects were awarded First, Second, Third Prize would represent for HSPH attend the national youth technology and scientific conference in 2016 in Da Nang.
