Inauguration of new campus of Hanoi University of Public Health, Opening of 2016-2017 academic year, Celebration of teachers’s day – November 20th, and Graduation diploma distribution

In the morning of Friday, November 18, 2016, Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH) celebrated its inauguration of new campus, opening of 2016-2017 academic year, the Vietnam teacher’s day, and distributed the graduation diploma for nearly 400 undergraduates and graduates. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice-minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Le Quang Cuong congratulated the school for its movement to the new spacious campus. He believed that HUPH would continue to promote its long-history of the leading academic institution for teaching and research in public health, to achieve the ambitious assigned objectives and tasks of Ministry of Health, and to meet the growing demands of public health employers.

The HUPH’s brand new campus is newly built on a total area of ​​5.7 hectares with a total gross floor area of​ 40,000m2 for offices, classrooms, and a student dormitory. The four multifunctional buildings designed with modern and synchronous architecture consist of: Administration Building, Classroom Building, Laboratory and Practice Training Building, Dormitory, and other technical infrastructure to serve the education activities for about 4,000 domestical and international students.

On the occasion of this solemn celebration, HUPH awarded the title of honorary professors for the contributions in enhancing the education and scientific research of Dr. Le Nhan Tuan, Director of the Hanoi Centre for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Acting Regional Representative for East and Southeast Asia, International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
