The Ministry of Health opens training courses on health management

On March 15, 2018, the Ministry of Health organized three training courses on health management for more than 100 trainees who are current leaders, managers, and potential candidates for the position of the next Director of the Provincial Health Bureaus, Hospitals, and Provincial Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The courses belong to the Component 2 - Health Professionals Education and Training for Health System Reforms Project for Vietnam (HPET).

The Minister of Health, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, attended and delivered her opening speech. Ministry of Health has started to develop and promulgate the Standard management capacity of the Director of the Provincial Health Bureaus, Provincial Hospitals, and the CDC since 2016.

In 2017, the three training courses on health management for leaders of health sector was collaboration work of HUPH and national and international experts, with special thanks to experts in EHESP School of Public Health in Rennes, France. The expected learning outcomes is to provide updated knowledge about health management, leadership skills and management to improve the capacity for leaders of health sector.
