Network for Education in International Health (TropEd) General Assembly Meeting

For three days, March 01-03, 2018, the annual General Assembly Meeting of TropED network was held in HUPH’s campus.

tropEd is an international network of 23 member institutions for higher education in international/global health from Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and Latin America. The network applies innovative approach based on mobility of people, the exchange of experiences in different disciplines and the establishment of a common standard in education and training for master of international health. tropEd provides postgraduate opportunities for education and training contributing to sustainable development. It focuses on improving the management of health services for disadvantaged populations.

HUPH has participated tropEd since 2008 and accredited to provide two training courses “Principle and Practice in Injury prevention” and “Bridging the gap between research and health policy making”.

Every year, HUPH welcomes and provides its accredited courses master students from many different universities within tropED network. By 2017, 89 international students have been taught in HUPH, in which, 56 are international students and 12 Masters of Public Health are co-supervised by HUPH’s lecturers. To date, HUPH is still the only university in Vietnam to participate in the network of tropEd
