Laboratory Center – Hanoi University of Public Health collected specimens for COVID-19 screening tests for delegates attending the 13th National Party Congress and COVID-19 prevention and control in Hai Duong and Ha Noi.

In implementing the Plan issued by the Ministry of Health assigning units to provide specimen collection service for the 13th National Party Congress, the HUPH Laboratory Center collected 415 specimens from participating delegates for COVID-19 screening tests.

Facing the pandemic complicated situation, immediately after receiving the Public Telegram Message No. 88/CĐ-BYT of the Ministry of Health dated January 27, 2021 on supporting Hai Duong Provincial Health Service to conduct epidemiological investigation, lockdown, quarantine, specimen collection, testing and treatment of COVID-19, and being given the direction and support of HUPH’s Party Committee, Management Board, HUPH Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the collection of specimens was immediately organized at Chi Linh epicenter - Hai Duong province from January 28, 2021. HUPH Lab Center staffs were on standby status with the 4 on-the-spot motto and collected 8,142 specimens from the communities in Hai Duong and Ha Noi through 12 days and nights. Recognition of efforts made by HUPH was shared by Dr. Dang The Hung in the program called "Digital Generation”: Then everyone has Tet" on-aired on February 9, 2021 (December, 28 of Lunar Year) with VTV6 channel.

On February 17, 2021, the Lab Center collected specimens from 157 officials at the Ministry of Health and 207 staffs of Hanoi University of Public Health on February 19, 2021 for Sars-CoV-2 testing to ensure epidemic prevention and control of those units after the Lunar New Year holiday 2021.
