Introduction to the Department of Public Health Informatics

Overview:

The Department of Public Health Informatics is embedded in the Faculty of Fundamental Sciences of Hanoi school of Public Health. It is responsible for enhancing the capacity of public health staff in the application of information technology and communications (ICT) in health care. Students also enhance the skills of health information systems management, data quality management, security, analysis and use of data and information activities, health care systems in Viet Nam through joint activities and cooperation with agencies and partners in teaching and scientific research. In addition, the PHI department also works with local and international experts in developing the PHI curriculum, lectures, and textbooks to provide teaching program with the regional and international quality in the field of Public Health Informatics.
