Certificate of ISO 17025 for the Laboratory Center of Hanoi University of Public Health

On March 31, 2017, the Laboratory center of Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH) has been certified to conform with the requirements of ISO 17025:2005 by the Bureau of Accreditation, Ministry of Science and Technology. The ISO 17025:2005 is a standard in the field of chemistry and biology. With this certificate (VILAS 1008), the Laboratory center of HUPH is eligible to provide water and food testing services (drinking water and bottled water).

Previously, the Laboratory Center was also approved by the Ministry of Health to conduct 248 different medical tests in accordance with Decision No. 5890 / QD-BYT dated October 10, 2016. Testing services in the Laboratory center cover a wide range of application areas, including general medical examination tests, screening for non-communicable diseases such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and the testing of infectious agents.

The Laboratory Center of HUPH was established under the Decision No. 2926/QD-BYT dated July 15, 2015 of the Minister of Health. The laboratory center equipped with modern and synchronous machines following international standards received a $ 7-million-dollar funding from The Atlantic Philanthropies during 2014-2016. The Center is capable of providing essential and advanced testing services in the field of Medical Testing, Food Safety and Environmental Health.
