Public health career workshop

On the morning of April 14, 2017, the annual public health career workshop with potential employers has been solemnly held in the campus of HUPH. The annual event is designed to provide current students and staff of the university with feedback on the knowledge and competencies valued by employers. Considering the feedback, the university adjusts and improves its training curriculum to ensure adaptation the required competencies of public health professionals from employers’ side.

Speaking at the workshop, A/Prof. Dr. Le Danh Tuyen, Director of National Institute of Nutrition, highly acknowledged the knowledge and competencies of public health professionals graduated in HUPH. The current public health employees in National Institute of Nutrition had achieved a standard of excellence with their work Dr. Vu Dinh Thiem - Head of Department of Epidemiology, National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology – also shared his high appreciation on the better-than-average job performance of graduates from HUPH. The graduates from HUPH were competent staff who were confident in their work and skilled in making plans, capable of effective communicating with foreign partners, and well-trained on basic computer skills.
