Opening Ceremony for “Implementation Research Methods” Book

On May 15, 2018, HUPH, in collaboration with the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research (AHPSR), organized the “Project Dissemination Workshop: Strengthening capacity for implementation research training centres (ScapIR)”.

The workshop was to share the most recent research findings of the ScapIR project, and hence, strengthen the connection and cooperation between national and international scientists, experts working in implementation research in Vietnam. Research reports presented at this workshop were mainly focused on the development of new knowledge and strategies to better support the implementation of existing health programs. This is a new, cost-effective, high-quality research approach that could be important for health research implementation.  Broadly speaking, the term implementation research describes the scientific study of the processes used in the implementation of initiatives as well as the contextual factors that affect these processes. It can address or explore any aspect of barriers and facilitators for translating research results into practice, including the implementation of intervention models and policies. This field enables researchers, especially doctoral students, to develop implementation-based approaches to achieve research finding application.
