The Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH) organized a Gala night and music and sporting contests to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its establishment.

Within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, as of April 2021, there have been still risks of complex developments, the HUPH, therefore, has made a change in the celebration format by a series of meaningful activities (mostly online) to limit mass gatherings.

Following a series of anniversary celebrating activities (paying gratitude to the former leaders, health check-up for retired staff, meeting with retired staff, meeting with alumni, etc.), the Gala for HUPH’s 20th Birthday and 73-year tradition was held in the evening of April 23, 2021. This is an opportunity for the staff and lecturers currently working at the HUPH to review the path of establishment and development of HUPH.

At the Gala, special products and performances from online contests such as the Walking and Running Contest with the theme "Wishing to go far - Going together", the photo exhibition contest with the theme "Public Health Impressions", The art and music performance contest with the theme "Invisible connection" were introduced to all HUPH’s faculty and staff. Prizes were awarded to groups with good, meaningful, and emotional items about HUPH’s 20 years of establishment and development.

This cozy 20th Birthday party was held with the participation of Prof. Bui Thi Thu Ha, MD, Ph.D. - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairperson of Trustee Board, Prof. Hoang Van Minh, MD, Ph.D. - Rector, Assoc. Prof. La Ngoc Quang, MD, Ph.D. - Vice-Rector, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Ha, MD, Ph.D. - Vice-Rector and all HUPH faculty and staff.

Singing voices were raised by HUPH faculty and staff to express their gratitude to the previous generations and their pride in the HUPH with 73 years of tradition and 20 years of establishment and development. From a "Public Health School without walls", the present Hanoi University of Public Health becomes a multidisciplinary, modern, professional training institution with core values ​​of a SMART University.
