Being one of 13 Vietnamese scientists ranked in the world in 2023, Prof. Hoang Van Minh, MD, Ph.D. – HUPH Rector is known for his outstanding achievements in scientific research and international publication, especially in research on tobacco harm prevention and control. The reportage "Vietnamese scientists in the world rankings" was on-air on April 11 by VTV1 channel in the ‘Good Morning program’ recording the contributions of Prof. Hoang Van Minh, MD, Ph.D. for science in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities (under Public Health discipline). Prof. Minh and the research team have published more than 250 scientific papers in prestigious international journals, with more than 20,250 citations and the current h-index = 52. In particular, for studies in the field of tobacco harm prevention, Prof. Hoang Van Minh, MD, Ph.D., and colleagues have published more than 40 international papers over the past 15 years and specifically provided evidence for policy-making on tobacco control in Vietnam.
