The Opening Ceremony of Academic year 2015 -2016 and Graduation Ceremony.

On October 27th 2015, Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH) held the beginning of academic year 2015 – 2016 and graduation ceremony for bachelor, public health specialization (Degree I and II), Master and PhD fellowship for more than 400 students.

Attending the ceremony was Prof. Le Quang Cuong – Deputy Minister of Health, representatives from MOH Departments, and leaders of all the school field partners, lectures, staffs and school students.

Deputy Minister Le Quang Cuong had his speech at the ceremony, he emphasized that he really appreciated and certified the efforts and achievements HSPH has gotten in the year 2014-2015. He also said that HSPH should continue its efforts in maintaining, attracting the talented staff, improve teaching capacity, and particularly the area of preventive medicine examination; scientific research.

At the ceremony, on behalf of school board, Deputy Dean – MSc. Phan Van Thien had read the congratulation letter of Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang for Ministry of Education and Training.

In the academic year 2015 – 2016, with the reformed of college/university admissions by Ministry of Education and Training. Hanoi School of Public Health still attracted high performance students. This year, HSPH enrolled about 200 undergraduate students (Bachelor of Public Health and Laboratory Science of Preventive Medicine); 300 master students in public health and hospital management; 100 students for public health specialization (degree I and II); doctoral students; and 250 students for in service training. The total number of students in HSPH is nearly 2000.  Besides that, HSPH also opens short course in order to provide training for management, as the demand of society.

Public Health is still considered as a new specialized training in Vietnam, but with the trend of social development, Public Health specialized in Hanoi School of Public Health is concerned and get attention from the society.  HSPH is one of the top 20 Vietnamese organizations that have had the most international publications. After 14 years of establishment, HSPH has about 160 staff and lectures that are mainly trained in variety background such as: United Kingdom, United States, and Australia, etc.
