Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology training program
I/ TRAINING OBJECTIVES
General Objectives
The program objective is to train a bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology who has basic scientific knowledge, specialized knowledge, proficient practical skills and can work independently and creatively to solve specialized problems to serve the requirements of diagnosis and treatment; have professional ethics, high sense of responsibility, cautious and accurate manner; capable of self-study and scientific research to meet the needs of caring for and protecting human health.
Specific objectives
Knowledge
1. Having basic scientific knowledge, basic medical knowledge and professional knowledge on medical laboratory science to apply scientific and technical advances in medical testing.
2. Know quality assurance, medical laboratory management, understanding of laws and policies to ensure coordination and management of operations of a medical laboratory reasonable and effective.
Skills
3. Proficiently perform routine medical testing techniques and apply specialized techniques in specialized activities to meet the needs of health protection, care and promotion people.
4. Apply the principles and processes of management of specialized equipment, chemicals and biological products and ensure quality in testing and laboratory management.
5. Participate in scientific research and training in the field of medical testing.
Attitude
6. Have professional ethics, communication and cooperation skills. Having a scientific working method, the ability to work independently and creatively, and the ability to apply theory to professional work.
7. Ability to work independently, effectively cooperate with colleagues and lifelong learning ability.
II/ LEARNING OUTCOMES OF BACHELOR OF MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY
Knowledge
1. Understand the basics of laboratory safety, laboratory quality management, and infection control;
2. Explain basic scientific knowledge, basic and specialized biomedical sciences thạt applied in the development and implementation of testing procedures of Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Parasites, Cells and Pathology;
3. Explain basic knowledge about scientific research in medical testing;
4. Understand of laws and policies on care, protection and improvement of people's health;
Skill
1. Use and preserve equipment, chemicals and biological products in medical laboratories;
2. Mastering basic testing techniques in medical testing (Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Parasites, Cells and Pathology) for health care management and community health care;
3. Apply several molecular biology techniques, advanced techniques in medical testing (Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Parasites, Cells and Pathology) to serve the work. community health care management and care;
4. Implement testing measures and ensure testing quality; infection control;
5. Participate in the development and implementation of medical tests and research on medical tests;
Attitude:
1. Apply for teamwork skills, presentation skills, leadership skills, communication skills and handling situations to communicate with customers and colleagues;
2. Comply with the principles of professional ethics (honesty, objectivity, prudence in technical practice, confidentiality of test result information), devoted to the cause of protection, care and improvement people's health; respect and listen to patients' opinions and needs;

Possibility of career development after graduation Post-graduation employment
Position
After graduation, with an appropriate probationary period by the law and the requirements of the employer, a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology program will be undertaken professional work in testing, scientific research, teaching and management.
· Health facilities in the public and non-public with the title: Medical Technician (Circular No. 26/2015 / BYT-BNV TTLT)
· At the Research/Testing Institute with the title: Technician, Researcher
- At educational and training institutions, management agencies, state organizations and other non-governmental organizations with the title: lecturers, researchers, technicians
Ability to study to improve qualifications
Ability to continue studying and research to improve qualifications in domestic and foreign graduate programs majoring in Laboratory or related specialties.

- 01 credit: equivalent to 15 hours of theory; 30 hours of practice in laboratories; 45 hours practice at hospitals, health centers, physical education and defense - security education; 60 – 90 practice hours in the community.
- Complementary knowledge (elective): Annually, the Rector decides the content of the elective course based on the proposal of the Department and students, in accordance with the actual situation and the development of the industry.
