Introduction
Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH) was first founded as the School for Doctor's Assistant, then the Secondary Pharmaceutical School, The Central School for Health Staff and the School of Training for Health Staff (1948-1975) and the School for Health Administrators (1976- 2001). In 2001, the Government upgraded the status of the school into a university and became Hanoi University of Public Health, but it kept the English name as Hanoi School of Public Health. In Oct 2016, the school has officially changed its English name to Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH). By 2025, Hanoi University of Public Health will become the leading prestigious university in Vietnam and in the region in terms of training, scientific research, providing care and protection services for people's health. HUPH has also a long history of strengthening partnerships within its faculty and other institutional departments, organizations and agencies, nationally and internationally, to develop the school's human resources, quality improvement in training, research and consultancy and thus to progress in the direction of globalization.

On November 18, 2016, Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH) celebrated its inauguration of new campus. The HUPH’s brand new campus is built on a total area of 5.7 hectares with a total gross floor area of 40,000m2 for offices, classrooms, and a student dormitory. The four multifunctional buildings designed with modern and synchronous architecture consist of: Administration Building, Classroom Building, Laboratory and Practice Training Building, Dormitory, and other technical infrastructure to serve the education activities for about 4,000 domestical and international students.
