Bachelor of Environmental Engineering Technology training program

Introduction:

The bachelor program in Environmental Engineering Technology aims to provide students with knowledge on basic and specialized sciences, and practical skills, ability to work independently and creatively to solve specialized issues, thus to be able to conduct analysis, assessment and research in the field of environment; have professional ethics with high sense of responsibility, cautious and accurate manner; and capability of self-study and scientific research.

Learning outcomes:

1. Learning outcomes on knowledge

1.1. Interpret basic knowledge on environmental science, legal documents on environment, quality assurance of testing, techniques for monitoring and analyzing environment quality indexes, transformation processes in environment.

1.2. Apply knowledge of basic and specialized sciences on environmental engineering technology in conducting research, investigation and implementation of solutions to solve problems related to soil, water and air that might affectt on community health.

2. Learning outcomes on attitude

2.1. Comply with ethical principles in the field of environmental engineering technology, be aware of occupational safety, be disciplined, have the sense of responsibility at work, be careful, meticulous, and persistent, honest, and objective.

2.2. Be conscious of protecting environmental resources and responsible for raising awareness about environmental protection for the community and society.

3. Learning outcomes on professional skills

3.1. Plan activities on environmental  sampling, monitoring and analysis, environmental control to ensure safety, health and environment of factories and enterprises.

3.2. Implement activities to ensure safety, health and environment of factories and enterprises; collect samples, monitor, analyse environmental samples and operate treatment works, soil, water, air pollution control systems hospital solid waste and wastewater.

3.3. Perform environmental-occupational health risk assessment and communication, health impact assessment and environmental impact assessment in accordance to existing regulations.

4. Learning outcomes on soft skills

4.1. Present, communicate, work independently and in groups, cooperate with partners and related stakeholders  in professional and effective manners.

4.2. Obtain adequate qualifications on IT and English (minimum level B or B1 in Europe or equivalent), to perform the jobs of environmental technicians.

4.3. Self-study to develop personal and professional capacity, adapt to the constantly changing environment and meet actual needs.
