HUPH’s Youth Union was involved in the “Green Summer 2022” youth volunteer campaign in Van Chan district, Yen Bai province

HUPH’s Youth Union run the Green Summer 2022 Volunteer Campaign with the theme "HUPH’s Youth - Joining hands for community health" from July 28, 2022, to August 1, 2022, in Binh Thuan commune, Van Chan district, Yen Bai province. A total of 25 volunteers participated in the Campaign who are young and outstanding student representatives. The volunteer team cooperated with the HUPH’s Staff Union to give study promotion scholarships to 36 recipients who are in difficult circumstances but make efforts in their studies. The team visited and offered gifts to two children suffering from serious diseases in the area. Furthermore, the team cooperated with the local authority to build a power line project with the theme "Lighting up your way" within the framework of local construction of a new rural area from the fund raised by HUPH’s Youth Union. In coordination of HUPH’s Youth Union with the Youth Union of Vietnam National Children's Hospital and the Youth Union of Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital, medical examination, medicine distribution, health counseling, and gift giving were conducted for more than 200 elderly people and 200 local children. Other activities were conducted such as the organization of summer activities, the guidance of health care and protection and distribution of gifts to more than 300 children, youth culture & sports exchange covering friendly football, badminton matches, song and dance performance, and a campfire. The campaign shows the youth strength of HUPH’s students who are dynamic, enthusiastic, and always oriented towards the community. In addition, this is also an opportunity for students to apply the classroom-acquired knowledge to real life.
