HUPH held a summary Workshop of the Johns Hopkin University – Hanoi University of Public Health Trauma and Injury Research Program in Vietnam 2017-2022

Within the framework of cooperation with Johns Hopkins University, in the morning of March 2, 2023, at Fortuna Hotel Hanoi, HUPH successfully the Summary Workshop of the Johns Hopkin University – Hanoi University of Public Health Trauma and Injury Research Program in Vietnam 2017-2022 and a Kick-off for the Research Program on Health, Economic and Societal Consequences of Trauma and Injuries in Vietnam for 2023-2026 period. After 5 years of implementation, the research program has achieved remarkable results, including building an injury prevention-oriented training program for Master of Public Health students, supporting research on traffic accidents and injury in the community, organizing training courses and national scientific workshops on injury prevention, granting scholarships to students participating in training programs to improve the quality of personnel working on injury prevention in Vietnam. Following these achievements, Johns Hopkins University is committed to supporting HUPH to implement the Research Program on Health, Economic and Societal Consequences of Trauma and Injuries in Vietnam for the 2023-2026 period to target post-injury support, rehabilitation, and improvement of quality of life for trauma and injury victims.
