Appraisal of the Master of Social Work training curriculum by Hanoi University of Public Health

On the morning of January 11, 2024, the appraisal of the Social Work training curriculum at the master's level was held by HUPH. The appraisal council included leading experts in training and research in the field of social work and representatives of reputable units in the health system that employed social workers. The Council highly appreciated the development process as well as the quality of the curriculum content of the master's level social work training program, with HUPH's both research track and applied track, affirming the urgency of the training program development, enrollment of students and rolling out training in the upcoming period in the context of very high demand for social work human resources in the health system. The Council also provided important comments to help the program development team complete the training curriculum before it is officially approved. The appraisal session was an important milestone in turning HUPH into the first educational institution to train health-oriented social workers at the master’s level in the country, as a contribution to bridging the gap in the number of social workers in the current health system, especially in terms of high-quality human resources.
