Bachelor of Public Health training program

Introduction

Our program aims to train bachePOs of public health, who not only have good health and ethics but also knowledgeable in basic sciences, basic medicines, clinical medicines and basic public health related knowledge and skills to deliver frequent health activities. Such activities involve identifying public health issues and priorities, planning as well as implementing health promotion programs and management measures to tackle health priorities. Besides, our program requires learners to demonstrate their good ability for self-studying and continuous learning to support their capacity building in order to meet changing needs of community’s health.

1.2. learning outcomes

Knowledge

PO1: Describe knowledge in basic sciences, basic medicines, basic clinical medicines, public health specialized, health system and politics as the basis for public health and implementing essential public health priorities in Vietnam.

PO2: Describe knowledge in computer and technology to meet the requirement of computer use, information search, document preparation and data management.

Skill

PO3: Planning for prevention and control of public health priorities and programs as well as frequent activities.

PO4: Conduct community health research, as well as conduct frequent public health activities and programs, as well as supervising, monitoring and evaluating such activities and programs.

PO5: Conduct health promotion and education activities as well as effective communication with the community.

PO6: Demonstrate English skill of 3/6 and adapt with the multicultural working environment.

Autonomy and accountability

PO7: Perform professionalism in public health practices and continuous learning to develop professional capacity
