Decision to set up the Board of Trustees, Hanoi University of Public Health

The Law on Higher Education (amended and supplemented in 2018) has affirmed the important role of the Board of Trustees, as an administrative unit representing the ownership, making decisions on policy, development strategy and plan,… and supervising school activities.

To comply with the provisions of the Law and the guidance of the Vietnam Ministry of Health on the establishment of Board of Trustees in higher education institutions, Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH) has taken steps to establish its Board since the last couple of months.

On July 2, 2020, the HUPH held meetings to elect the representatives of lecturers, officials, employees and the civil societies to be the member of its Board of Trustees. Next, on July 8, 2020, the member of its Board of Trustees held a meeting to elect its Chairperson and the Secretary.

On August 12, 2020, the Ministry of Health issued Decision No. 3535 / QD-BYT on the recognition of the Board of Trustees of HUPH consisting of 17 members and Decision No. 3536 / QD-BYT on the recognition of Prof. Dr. Bùi Thị Thu Hà, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the HUPH as the President of the Board of Trustees.

On August 20, 2020, the staff of HUPH welcomed Vice-Minister, Prof. Dr. Trần Văn Thuấn, who chaired its ceremony of announcing and awarding the Decision of the President of the Board of Trustees of HUPH for the term 2020 - 2025.
